I would like to start 2021 with a colorful design studio, UAU Project. UAU Project is a design studio from Poland and founded in 2011 by Justyna Fałdzińska (right) and Miłosz Dąbrowski. I love their sense of color, texture, and combining shapes in the objects they are 3D printing. Not only are they straightforward in their aesthetic, but they also are very clear on the materials they use for their objects. All their products are designed to be 3D printed from plant-based bioplastics like PLA. These are fully recyclable and compostable in industrial facilities. Their production is almost zero waste, and 3D printed without any support material, and they do not overstock; they manufacture when needed in any color the customer wishes to. Most of the products in this Designer Pick are for sale via UAU Project’s shop.
This L_Vases 01 is a big 3D printed vase made with two or three parts with no glue or other additives. A glass insert is included in the vase so you can actually put water in the vase.
This green 3D printed S_Vase 04 is a small object with a strong linear pattern. Also here is a glass insert included for use as a flower vase.
In UAU Project One-of-a-Kind series, the 3D printed Blurred Vase 1 is a product in which the designers show a play of translucencies, colors, and textures that create visually pleasant optical blurs. I love this one.
The 3D printed Neptune Circle is a geometric lamp that suits every minimalistic space. Depending on the position of the lamp, the light becomes brighter.
